OK, first the quick bio!

I'm a native Californian and began taking pictures when I was 12. Photography became a career in my teens thanks to Bill Penn and Don Blumenschein and continued when I became a photojournalist for local newspapers.

Other careers followed including sales, motor racing and the recreational vehicle industry. All the while I kept my hand in photography and publishing to some degree.

Now, with the advent of digital photography and sophisticated imaging software, I have returned with the intention of once again making this my career. I began with a 2 megapixel Canon point-and-shoot camera (which produced some of the images on this site) and then stepped up to a Nikon D100 and later a Nikon Cool Pix 5200 so I can always carry a high quality camera with me.

The photo of me was created by my friend, Scott Van Dyke, a very talented pro who lives in Palm Springs.
